If you know there are more blanks than live rounds remaining, shooting yourself becomes statistically safer (and skips the dealer's turn on a blank).

Magnifying Glass: Use it when the odds are close to 50/50 to gain crucial information.
Beer: Eject the current shell - useful when you know it's a blank or want to change the odds.

Risk Assessment
When the odds favor blanks and you're low on health, shooting yourself can be a winning strategy - you skip the dealer's turn on a blank and maintain control. But when live rounds dominate, point at the dealer even if you're uncertain. The key is adapting your strategy to the current shell ratio.
